The Africa International Hair Extravaganza was first seen in 2012 at the Coca-Cola dome and
received an African continent based audience and visitors. It generated a lot of interest from all
related industry players because this event was the first of its nature to held on the continent, and
more so a first for Johannesburg and South Africa (The Hub of Africa).

The 2012 Africa International Hair Extravaganza saw brands from all over the African continent, it
was also hosted by known faces (Amstel and Zizo) and had ambassadors from across the continent
(Weza Solange, Eda Rose, Kendra). Media brands from Drum, Sowetan, Daily Sun, New Age, Bella
Naija (Nigeria), All Access, Good Morning Africa, KayaFm, Radio 2000, Agoo Magazine (Ghana), just
to name a few all covered this launch event. Simply put, it had the full attention of the continent!

Africa International 2013

The preparations for the 2nd Annual Africa International Hair Extravaganza are well underway. This
years event is scheduled to take place on 30 August 2013 – 01 September 2013 at The BrightWater
Commons in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The aims and objectives of the Africa International are to afford a platform for both the African
ethnic hair industry and its consumers to discuss, connect, educate and display their brand while
showcasing the talent of disadvantage stylists across the continent and further displaying the role
the ethnic hair industry plays on the continent. This of course is done in a sophisticated, fabulous,
fun, remarkable manner that retains the gained attention of the continent.

With many exciting activities scheduled for this year’s exhibition, the Africa International Hair
Extravaganza is definitely an event to mark on your calendar.

This year an exciting introduction to The Africa International Hair Conference can be
experienced at this year’s event.

The Africa International Hair Conference will provide a platform for professional hair care
educators with extensive knowledge to speak on a variety of topics surrounding the Ethnic
Hair industry.

This one day conference will allow the educators to provide a selected audience the
opportunity to discuss, demonstrate, give tips and educate on the variety of topics
surrounding the Ethnic Hair Industry. The conference will also allow prominent brands to
do intensive brand consultation comprising of educating the selected audience about the
brand products and effective use of brand products in segments aligned to the conference
participating brands.

The Africa International Hair Conference is open to salon owners, salon stylists, hair and
beauty students, upcoming hair care professionals as well as consumers.
